Huey Magoo’s Chicken Tenders Gets New Owners – ( Food Service Equipment & Supplies )

A team of seasoned restaurant industry professionals has purchased controlling interest in Huey Magoo’s Chicken Tenders, a Florida-based chicken concept. The restaurant chain’s founders, Matt Armstrong (aka “Huey”) and Thad Hudgens (aka “Magoo”), retain an ownership interest in the company.

The additional members of the ownership team include Andy Howard and Wes Jablonsky. Howard, a former executive vice president at Wingstop, now serves as the CEO for Huey Magoo’s.

In addition, Mike Sutter, a former Wingstop vice president, has assumed the role of executive vice president of operations and training for Huey Magoo’s. Shawn Lawler is now part of the Huey Magoo’s team, too.

The new owners of Huey Magoo’s plan to grow the concept by building corporate locations as well as through franchising.
